Abstract- A corona discharge was generated above the water surface with a needle.water electrode configuration. The circulating flow generation in the gas and liquid phases was investigated by numerical simulation and other experiments. Methylene blue (MB) in the water was decomposed by ozone, which was supplied to the gas phase. The corona discharge-induced flow enhanced the mass transfer of ozone through the water surface, resulting in a higher decomposition rate of MB than that without the corona discharge.
