Abstract

The 10th International Symposium on Non-Thermal/Thermal Plasma Pollution Control Technology & Sustainable Energy was organized by the Department of Chemistry of the Federal University of Santa Catarina from August 1 to 5 (Florianopolis, Brazil). The ISNTP covers fundamental studies including atmospheric discharge phenomena & modeling/simulation/diagnosis, and the applications of non-thermal/thermal plasma technologies in the gaseous pollutants (acid gas/VOCs & odor/greenhouse gas/PM) control, water treatment, solid waste treatments, hazardous material treatment (dioxin/PCB/halogenated compounds/mercury), fuel reforming, plasma assisted combustion, and plasma bio-decontamination and medical applications. The ISNTP-10 included 14 keynote lectures, 21 oral presentations and 35 posters and about 120 participants from 12 countries attended this symposium to share their researches results.
